For the first time in the state, Mukhyamantri Mahila Kalyan Yojana will be launched and more than 10 lakh mothers and sisters will be given zero interest loans. Gujarat's women power will take the lead in realizing the resolve of a self-reliant Prime Minister of India. The changed economic and social lifestyle after Corona will open a new path of women's empowerment and self-reliance of mothers and sisters. A total of 10 lakh mothers and sisters of 1 lakh women's groups in the state will get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana. A total of up to Rs 1,000 crore will be provided to women's groups. The interest on the bank loan will be borne by the state government and the stamp duty required for the loan will be waived. Rs. Loans of Rs 1 lakh will be available from government, cooperative, private banks, RBI approved lending institutions.
The Chief Minister has called upon the banks to join the scheme. The state government will soon sign a MoU with the banks to join the scheme. A group of 10 women-sisters will be formed. Each group will get a loan of Rs one lakh.
Every mother and sister will get interest loan without starting their own small big business, housing industry, business. The purpose is to realize the big loan of the little man to become the financial support of the home family to the mothers and sisters in the post-Corona situation. For this, the Chief Minister has allocated a budget of Rs. 175 crore for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana.
The approach is to cover a total of 1 lakh women's groups in rural areas and 50 thousand in urban areas in the Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana. The scheme will be implemented in rural areas by Gujarat Lively Hood Promotion Company of Rural Development Department.
