The Election Commission has announced by-election dates for 56 Assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha constituency in several states, including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Orissa, Nagaland, and Manipur. Gujarat by-election dates have finally been announced. By-election will be held on November 3 on the 8 vacant seats of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. The by-elections will be held on November 10. With the announcement of the Assembly by-elections, the implementation of the code of conduct in the constituency was announced in 8 constituencies.

In Gujarat, by-elections have been announced today in Kaprada, Dang, Limbdi, Gadha, Dhari, Morbi, Karjan, Abadsa. Jitu Chaudhary from Kaprada, Mangal Gavit from Dang, Soma Patel from Limbdi, Pravin Maru from Gadda, JV Kakadia from Dhari, Brijesh Merja from Morbi, Akshay Patel from Kaprada, and Pradyumansinh Jadeja from Abadsa resigned. As a result, these seats have become vacant.

By-elections will be held in 56 seats across the country

However, the Election Commission has announced that by-elections will not be held in 7 seats in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. The seats that will not be by-elected include Assam's Rangpara seat, Sibsagar seat, Kerala's Kuttanad, and Chavara seats, Tamil Nadu's Tiruvottiyur, Gudiyattam, and Calicut. The decision on when to hold elections for this seat will be taken by the Election Commission after consultation with the states.
